Louis Vuitton spring ‘22 “Virgil Was Here” presentation in Miami

As you all know, designer Virgil Abloh has passed away at the age of 41. Such crushing news for the creative community and all who knew him, and it goes without saying especially his family and close friends. I really do mourn for his mother, father, wife and two small children. What a giant loss. He has been my favorite creative for a long time and I’m lucky to say I have a house filled with things he created!

So many beautiful things have been written about him by those who knew him personally (I added some below in the photo drop), but I do just want to state one thing for the record because I didn’t do it enough when he was alive. I follow streetwear and fashion extremely closely, and because of that I know there’s this enduring critique that he stole ideas from small designers but I want to state for the record that I never once saw a credible case of theft. Not once!
