Analysis: Why Kim Kardashian Attached Ye's Name To Her SKKN Launch

Disclaimer: I don’t like or dislike Kim Kardashian or Ye as humans because I don’t know them personally and they don’t appear to be breaking any laws or hurting people anymore than is it typical of CEOs. However, I do find how they market their brands fascinating and that’s what I’m attempting to analyze here.
CEO Kim Kardashian debuted SKKN, her skincare line earlier this week as part of a relaunch of KKW Beauty, which she’s shutting down. As part of the launch, she made press rounds in New York accompanied by her sons Psalm (6) and Saint, (3). On Instagram stories she also provided a tour of the new SKNN headquarters (so gorgeous!), which were designed by Tommy Clements and Waldo Fernandez (who decorated Kendall Jenner’s home) and included furniture designed by Michèle Lamy and Rick Owens.
